Overview

Control is software that automatically calibrates and controls quantum processors. Today, engineers bring quantum devices online by hand, tuning every qubit, one parameter at a time. It takes weeks, it’s expensive, and it doesn’t scale. Control automates this workflow end-to-end.

How Control works

Calibrating a quantum device involves a series of experiments: measure, analyse, decide, repeat. Control automates this loop, enabling autonomous tune-up powered by ML models that handle the analysis.

  1. Connect your hardware. Define your device in a configuration file. Map instruments, channels, and qubit parameters.
  2. Perform measurement. Control drives your instruments to run characterisation experiments (spectroscopy sweeps, Rabi oscillations, resonator readout, etc.), collecting raw data from the quantum device.
  3. Analyse with ML models. ML models trained on quantum measurement data interpret each result automatically, identifying features and replacing hours of manual analysis.
  4. Decide what’s next. Based on the analysis, Control decides the next action: adjust a parameter and re-measure, compensate for crosstalk, or move to the next calibration step. The loop repeats until every parameter is optimised.
